2nd Friday Artist // Marissa Raglin
We love 2nd Fridays. Everything about them. Having new art on the walls. Mingling with the artist and our community. Serving yummy cocktails. All of it. May's 2nd Friday will showcase the newest works from Marissa Raglin.
Marissa Raglin studied Art at Oklahoma Baptist University and currently resides in Oklahoma City as the Gallery Manager for the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum. She primarily uses acrylic paints and ink, as well as layering techniques, to produce her whimsical, expressionistic artwork. Her most recent work reflects her emphasis on nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from images within her Great-Grandmother’s book of birds and magnolia trees (which she has held an affinity for since childhood) she creates images that invoke thoughts of detail lost in memory.
